but the trolley doesn't run until 2 pm.
Day 1:
2:00 p.m.
Begin
our visit with a Trolley Tour of Historic
Edenton featuring
magnificent, restored, 18th and 19th-century homes and
buildings.
Edenton is well known for its fine examples of Jacobean, Georgian,
Federal, Greek Revival and Victorian architecture styles spanning over
two hundred and fifty years. We will
stop and tour the James Iredell
Home
Site and Dependencies,
1800-1827, home of James Iredell, US Supreme
Court Associate Justice and his son, James Iredell Jr., a North Carolina
governor.
4:15 p.m. Check
into the Hampton Inn in Edenton. Your luggage will be delivered
to your room as quickly as possible.
6:00 p.m.
Dinner included at an area restaurant.
8:00 p.m.
Enjoy
a performance of “O
Holy Night” at Rocky Hock Playhouse.
This musical, based on the history that there has never been another
night when our Lord was
born in a cold and lonely stable in Bethlehem. The angels sang, and the
shepherds
sang - all of Heaven rejoiced when Jesus, born of the Virgin Mary, arrived on
that winter's night over 2000 years ago.
Day 2:
A Continental Breakfast will be included at the hotel.

We
will begin our day with a special Private
Homes Tours in Historic Edenton, featuring a private tour of two of their
exquisite 18th and 19th-century homes not open to the public.
11:45 a.m.
Next
we will take a guided tour of St.
Paul’s Episcopal Church, the second
oldest in the state and where the churchyard is resting place of three former
governors. Following our tour we
will dine on a delicious lunch
prepared
by the ladies of the church.
1:30 p.m.
Depart for home with fond memories of our Edenton visit.

We
will begin our visit at the Museum of the
Albemarle and discover
the history of the
Albemarle
region and its people, from native Americans,
English and African colonists to
the people of today. Galleries
feature
exhibits on agriculture, industry, the military and the maritime influences on
the region.
3:15 p.m.
Enjoy
shopping time in downtown Hertford featuring
specialty and antique shops. We will
complete our visit to Hertford with an Ice Cream Cone from Woodard’s Drug Store.
5:00 p.m.
Check
into the Hampton Inn in Edenton. Your luggage will be delivered to your room
as quickly as possible.
7:30 p.m.
Dinner included at an area
restaurant.

2:
A Continental Breakfast will
be included at the hotel.
9:30-10:00 a.m.
We will begin our day with a special Private

Guided tour of the historic, 1767 Chowan
County Courthouse, said to
be the most intact colonial courthouse in America.
2:15 p.m. Shopping time in downtown Edenton with its charming specialty and antique
shops.
4:00 p.m.
Return to the hotel.
6:00 p.m.
Dinner at CHERO'S Restaurant
or Mario’s Italian Restaurant.
8:00 p.m.
Enjoy a Christian musical at Rocky
Hock Playhouse, one of a handful
of full-time Christian theatres in the
United States.
Day 3:
A Continental Breakfast will
be included at the hotel.
9:15 p.m.
Check
out of the Hampton Inn and travel to
Murfreesboro,
North Carolina.
10:00 a.m.
Visit
the Brady C. Jefcoat Museum of Americana, housing the largest collection
of irons, washing machines and dairy items in the
United States. Remember the show X-ray machine?
Its there.
Enjoy a riding tour of Historic
Murfreesboro, a quaint colonial river port, offering a wide variety of early
American architecture through its 12 block National Register Historic District.
A delightful lunch
will be served by the ladies of the Historical Society in
Murfreesboro

Check out of the hotel and travel a short distance to Windsor, North
Carolina and tour Hope Plantation, featuring two National Register listed houses; the
1803 home of Governor David Stone and the 11763 King Bazemore House, both with
outstanding furnishings that include regional pieces.
