This year our site will be participating in the Civil War Trust's annual Park Day. Each year the Civil War Battlefield Trust sponsors an annual clean-up day at various Civil War, Revolutionary and War of 1812 sites. The goal is to keep our historic treasures looking clean and pristine. Volunteers may participate in a variety of activities ranging from raking and doing yard work, repairing fences, picking up trash, installing signs, or painting. For their participation, volunteers will receive a free Park Day t-shirt. Our site will also offer a free tour of the James Iredell house to our Park Day volunteers. This cleanup day is scheduled for April 7th at 9:00 a.m. If you would like to sign up email Andrew.Cole@ncdcr.gov or call 252-482-2637.
