7th Annual Antique Farm & Heritage Expo/Whole Hog BBQ Cook-off
On Friday evening, cook teams will place whole hogs on the grills for cooking with a time-line for judging and eating on Saturday during the Expo.
Whether you grew up on a farm or have just wondered what it was like to grow up on one, you won't want to miss the fifth annual Antique Farm and Heritage Expo. Step back in time as you wander through the Heritage Village. Watch as skilled artisans perform the trades of a bygone era. Learn about Blacksmithing, shingle making and notorious moonshiners. Sample wonderful heritage foods. Witness teams of mighty draft horses move effortlessly by the hands and voices of their driver's. Go back to simpler times as you see and hear the antique tractors and equipment in action. Revolutionary War Encampment
Learn about the Revolutionary War and the men that fought on both sides of the war in this special interactive living history encampment. also part of this special event, the Florie,, a patriot armed boat will be doing cannon firing demonstrations from the boat throughout the day.

Explore the Revolutionary War encampment on the Green and then stop by the 1767 Courthouse for family fun activities and crafts.

"Music by the Bay at the Penelope Barker House"
Do you like music and sometimes have little to do on Sunday afternoon? So do many others just like you. Great News! The Edenton Historical Commission is hosting "Music by the Bay at the Penelope Barker House". Beginning in April 2015, the Barker House Lawn alongside picturesque Edenton Bay will be the setting for monthly music concerts every 3rd Sunday afternoon from April through September. The musical groups will perform a variety of music: Jazz, Gospel, Americana, Blues, Bluegrass and Classic Rock and Roll. Student groups from area schools will also be invited to perform. These events are FREE to attend so "bring your own chairs and picnics", first-come to get a spot on the lawn, so come early and make a day of it.
