Josephine N. Leary Building

    In 1894, Josephine Leary had this Victorian tri-store building built as a rental property.  It was contracted by Theo Ralph.  

     Leary sold all three stores in 1922.  Presently, the majority of the Leary building is utilized for the creation and printing of the Chowan Herald.
