The Hotel Hinton was built in 1926 as
Edenton's first brick hotel. It featured a total of 82 rooms, of
those 78 had bathrooms with hot and cold water. It was built by L.B.
Perry from Elizabeth City. In 1960 the county purchased the hotel
and converted it into offices.
