221 E Queen Street
The Morris-Everrett House, circa 1902

This Victorian style house was built in 1902 at 211 East Queen Street  for W.A. and Sarah Morris.  Two years later, George and Sarah Everett bought the house.  In 1926, the Everetts sold the house to the Edenton Graded Schools Trustees, so that an auditorium could be added onto the Edenton High School.  The Everetts moved their house to its present location at that time.  The Everetts remained at their 221 East Queen Street home, until their deaths, however, their heirs sold the house in 1963.
