230 E Queen Street
The Cutrell-Boyce House, circa 1905

This Victorian home was built in 1905 for George and Mary Cutrell.  In 1920, the Cutrell's sold the house and moved to Virginia.  By 1927 the house fell into the hands of Carroll and Ethel Boyce.  Boyce was the sheriff of Chowan County when he died and Ethel stayed here until her death.
