This American Foursquare style house was built in the mid 1920s for R.E. Chappell as a rental property.  It is similar to its neighbor, at 302 East Queen.  His daughter, Patsy Anne Chappell Brown inherited the houses after Rufus' death.  The houses remain under the ownership of the Brown family.
