St. Paul's Episcopal Church, circa 1736
After their organization in 1701, the current
St. Paul's Episcopal Church was built in 1736, and is the oldest North
Carolina church building still in regular usage.
Although it took until 1760 for the building
to become usable and 1774 to be completely finished, this beautiful church
remains as a soundly built structure, full of history.
