 104 W King Street
The James Iredell Jr. House, circa 1800
This Georgian/Federal blended structure was built
in 1802, for Edmund Hoskins, who ran it as a store. In 1816, he sold
the property to James Iredell, Jr., who operated it as his law
office. After Iredell sold the house in 1829, the house had a string
of owners, ending with William and Bessie Shepherd, who stayed here until
their deaths.
