As we welcome 2021 please begin your visit from the Penelope Barker House Welcome Center with their sharing of Penelope's organizing of the Edenton Tea Party, Gift and Book Shop, the 2nd floor furniture exhibit and the right spot to begin your self-guided tour of our historic sites all with social distancing.
Trolley Tours leave from this site everyday but Tuesdays 10:30 am; noon; 2:30 pm - no Sunday Tours at this time.

The Edenton Farmers Market (a 501C3 nonprofit) is held rain or shine every Saturday, 8am-noon. Follow them on Facebook. Locally grown products.
Come shop our market in our newly renovated building in downtown Historic Edenton at 200 North Broad St. This permanent location will help us further our mission to bring the Chowan County area healthier food choices while supporting local farmers

The Historic Edenton State Historic Site Visitor Center is open with walking tours at 10 am and 2 pm as well as visiting with COVID procedures in place for keeping everyone safe. 1767 Chowan County Courthouse; 1886 Roanoke River Lighthouse; 1800 James Iredell House and Dependencies. The Visitor Center is open 9 am - 5 pm.
