As part of Edenton’s 300th Anniversary Celebrations, the Elizabeth II set sail from its homeport of Manteo, NC, and docked in Edenton Harbor Thursday afternoon, October 24. While In Edenton, the ship and its crew welcomed on board area school children and their teachers, followed by the public on Saturday. The Elizabeth II is a 16th century representative ship at Roanoke Island Festival Park. The ship interprets one of the English merchant vessels that took part in the Roanoke Voyages.
