Down at the waterfront, in the park, there was a festive air. While waiting for darkness to let the fireworks begin, there was lots to do — a watermelon eating race for the kids, dancing, plenty to eat, and strolling along the promenade. And then the sky lit up, and it was twice as good with the reflections on the bay.
